  • One campsite left in West Yellowstone so we shared with our new friend Sebastian from Germany

  • Hiked the 13 mile Quartz Lake loop

  • Second FAVORITE campsite off remote forest road on Lake Pend Oreille
  • Oh, the people you meet along the way...

  • Then it got real hot- Colville, WA
  • Fires were still smoldering in Washington
  • The lesser visited Cascades National Park
  • Treated to a delicious snack curtosy of friendly camping neighbors
  • And we made it to McKee's Beach- North of Seattle
  • Hung out with Jay's Aunt, Uncle & Cousin
  • and ate lots of fresh crabs!
  • A bit further south in Vancouver, WA- Jay's Aunt, Uncle & Cousins
  • Stashed our bikes at Uncle Jon's house for a trip to Maine for August

Portland, Oregon to Sun City, California

  • Back on the road 9/6/14 departing from Vancouver
  • Got to visit another Uncle, Aunt & Cousin clan in Corvallis, OR
  • Thanks Oregon Nymans!
  • Newport, OR- made it to the Pacific Ocean
  • The start of many days of beautiful coastal riding- on the 101S
  • Quick stop to play around on the Oregon sand dunes
  • Decided not to take the bikes onto the sand, but found another way to have fun
  • Lunch stop in Coos Bay
  • Scenic point in Bandon, OR
  • Beach butting up to our campground in Humbug Mnt State Park
  • Another gorgeous lunch spot near Crescent City, CA...
  • off the 101 on Pebble Beach Road
  • After accidentally missing the Redwoods State Park scenic drive...
  • turned around and saw this herd of Elk on the way to our campground

  • from Fortuna, CA to Petrolia and back east to Humbolt Redwoods State Park

  • Jay's great Aunt worked here as a nurse during WWII-before it was $522/night
  • Stop in Salinas on our way back to the coast to visit a college friend
